The Mar Menor (meaning Minor sea or Smaller Sea in Spanish) is a coastal salty lagoon in the Iberian Peninsula of Spain with a surface area of nearly 170 km². With warm and clear water no more than 7 metres in depth, it is the largest lagoon in Spain.
