Ludworth Tower, Durham - Ludworth Tower was originally a medieval manor house, founded by the de Ludworth family. Sadly time has not been kind as only a few fragments of this building now survive as most of it collapsed in 1890.Sycamore Gap, Northumberland 01 - This is probably the most photographed spot in the whole of Northumberland National Park. Here, a sycamore tree grows in a dramatic dip with Hadrian’s Wall rising up either side. Also made famous by the film ‘Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves’Mission 1101 `Tommy` - The steel statue, by local artist Ray Lonsdale, was so popular that people in Seaham began a campaign to buy it. The piece, called 1101 but know locally as Tommy, was inspired by World War One and is named to reflect the first minute of peace.Fiddlers Green - The impressive sculpture, by local artist Ray Lonsdale, named Fiddler’s Green, stands 10ft 6ins tall and is located near the fish quay in North Shields. The memorial is in honour of those fishermen who died doing their job after leaving the port.The water wheel at Killhope lead mine, Weardale - One of the main features of the reconstructed mine is the Killhope Wheel, a 10-metre-diameter metal waterwheel. This was constructed by the Tyneside firm of William Armstrong.Killhope lead mine at sunrise - The mining of lead ore took place here from 1818 until 1910 when production ceased, although it was briefly reopened in 1916. The castle is occupied by the current Duke of Northumberland & his family.The Lone Tree nr Malham (also available in colour) - Known as "limestone pavements", these plateaus of bare and weathered rock often being found at the top of the limestone cliff running along the hillsides.
